Before I take a
breath
my body and blood
destroy love:
by swelling my
mother Mary’s womb
I move her fiancé
Joseph to divorce her.
Fortunately
Joseph’s love for Mary
inspires him to
hear in a dream
that a messenger
from god is my father.
When Joseph and
Mary marry
we move people
who know us
when disconnected
to connect
