Bone Poems

“I Will Cause Breath to Enter Bones” Ezekiel 37:5

I’ve little memory
of mother hitting me
with painful ecstasy.
Numb in mind and body,
I break glass when she dies--
feeling bone marrow frees.

**
Bone Voyage

Bones come from fire--
so does all else—
bones thus desire
to warm all selves.

**
Home's Our Bones

When at home
in our bones
not alone
we know "om."
