True Dew

 

doing what we feel moved

to do 

         merging with urging

emerging

                anew

Regulating For Congregating

 

from absolute zero

radiates endless glow

warming through cold I know

allowing me to grow

indifferent

or passionate

compassionate

 

or pay the rent 

Everything Happens For A Reason

 

Most of us listening keep our eyes closed

while one of my students in prison

is reading a story written by a boy who goes blind.

The boy discovers a light inside

that feels joyful except when he's afraid.

When I look for my light within

it feels harsh.

After class is over my student says,

 “You fell asleep while I was reading.”

While I protest, “No way,”

light in her eyes plays with mine.

 

Freeing Silence

 

meditation teach

us to feel

                hug

                       feelings

                                     thoughts

without being them   

Knock Knocked Aware

 

may your hard

                         soft knocks

not me

            hold me back

                                  so I’m

free

       to flow

                    with thee

Laid Back

 

pushed back

                     to me

I love limits

                     of bones

                                    skin

muscles

              organs

                          mind

 

 

I no longer knead

internal dramas

                          to feel

real

        while we’re affined  

Borne Free

 

 

un-focusing self

suffusing

                focusing self

makes wild

                    tamed

                               laughter

 

re-birth’s pains

                          bring joys

often when we have  no idea

we need

               and want them
